Before your tattoo

When you find out you want to get a tattoo, it's a good idea to have an idea of the size and location you want, and then we'll take care of the rest together.

If you have allergies, illnesses (such as diabetes), or are taking medication (such as blood thinners), it is a really good idea to mention it; not because you can't get a tattoo, but because then I have the opportunity to take precautions (such as extra snacks in case of low blood sugar).

I suggest that you do not consume alcohol 24 hours before getting a tattoo as alcohol is a blood thinner and therefore increases the risk of bleeding.

For example, if you have dry skin in the area to be tattooed, it is beneficial to lubricate your skin in the days leading up to the tattoo, but do not lubricate on the day itself.

On the day

When the day finally comes for you to get tattooed, it's a really good idea to have a good solid meal before getting tattooed. A tattoo is a "trauma" for the body, especially when it's a larger project, so it's good that the body has something to withstand.

It's a good idea to bring something sugary in the form of soda and snacks, and for longer/larger projects I suggest a small (or large) packed lunch.
